How to make your home water efficient?

In lieu of World Water Day which serves as an observance day to the importance of freshwater we thought we’d share practical knowledge of how to make your home water efficient.

The following strategies will follow one of two principles: reduce water consumption and reuse water.

  1. Low-flow fixtures use at least 20% less water than conventional fixtures.
  2. Rain Tanks collect water runoff from the roof and can be reused for landscaping or flushing toilets.
  3. Xeriscaping is a landscaping practice that reduces drastically the water consumption by utilizing water-efficient plants, soil amendments and proper landscaping planning and design.
  4. Water Metering helps to quickly identify any leaks that are going unnoticed.

We hope this helps in making your home water efficient!
